The growing team had their first competition of the season in Battle Creek Lakeview and finished qualifications in 15th. This was the first year the team made it to the playoffs as the first pick of Alliance 7. Alliance 7 was eliminated in the quarterfinals, but it was exciting to finally participate in the tournament. The second event was at Mason High School where they finished 8th after qualifications eventually becoming captains of Alliance 6. The Alliance was eliminated again in the quarterfinals, however, the progression of success was impressive.
